Recreational
…There is no better way to start your day than a paddle on the ocean under the majesty of a Mauna Kea sunrise. So what are you waiting for, come give paddling a try! If you are a full-time or part-time resident, new to the area, and want to try our club, or a novice who has never held a paddle before, come down and experience true Hawaiian culture and history firsthand in a friendly, relaxed environment. Ohana/recreational paddling is a great way to get and stay in shape, meet new friends, and learn outrigger canoe paddling skills.

Directions
Meet at Anaehoʻomalu Bay (“A-Bay”), the home of the Waikoloa Canoe Club, adjacent to Lava Lava Beach Club. For new members and those just starting out, we have paddles available for you to use, but for long-term paddling, we encourage each paddler to purchase their own personal paddle. Paddlers must be able to swim. We recommend bringing water, a towel, and sunscreen.
