Jim Albone called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm.
Due to an error with the recording of the minutes, the minutes are based on very loose notes made by the Secretary, Rami Ring.
Bob made a motion to accept the minutes for the Oct. meeting as written. The motion was seconded and approved by all.
TREASURER’S REPORT- Bary presented the Treasurer’s Report. Bary will be working with Maria in anticipation of her taking over the Treasurer’s responsibilities next year. However, in a recent development, the Board was notified via email on 11/16/21 that effective immediately Bary is no longer able to fulfill his duties as Treasurer and Maria will take over immediately.
EQUIPMENT REPORT – The blessing for our 2 new canoes, Keaweiki & Ku’uali’i are to be held after our annual meeting on Sat., Dec. 4 at 12:30 pm at Anaeho’omalu Beach.
HCRA/MOKU REPORT – Last month we reviewed the suggested changes to the Moku By Laws. Randy turned in our club approval.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – We are still getting a couple of new members at Ohana paddling.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS- Utilizing cameras at the beach was discussed again.Topic placed on back burner again.
Review of Covid policy- It was previously agreed upon that we would periodically review the Covid restrictions to determine if it was still necessary to hold the restrictions in place. It was decided that the restriction requiring vaccines for Ohana paddling should be kept in place.
NEW BUSINESS – Maria presented the Board with a red-line mark-up of Waikoloa Canoe Club By-Law changes for membership form & rack rental form. A motion was made to present the changes to the membership at our Annual Meeting on Dec. 4.
Formal approval was given to Maria Wagner to be the Treasurer of Waikoloa Canoe Club. Maria and Bary will work on making appropriate changes to our First Hawaiian Bank signature card and account. Bary will also transfer mailbox keys and bankcard to Maria.
Jim emailed the board the new lease agreement with Waikoloa Land Co. for review.
Next meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 at 6:00 pm via Zoom.
